Skyplanr
Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Skyplanr on the web or in the iPhone app. By creating an account you accept them.
Last updated 3 Oct 2026.
What the service does
Skyplanr plans drone missions, checks them against terrain, obstacle, airspace, sun and weather data, and exports flight files for apps such as DJI Fly. Everything it shows is advice to the pilot.
You are the pilot in command
You decide if, when and how to fly, and you are responsible for flying safely and within the rules where you fly: registration, competence, insurance, airspace permissions, distances to people and property, and privacy.
Our checks use open data that can be wrong or out of date (new buildings, trees, cranes, temporary restrictions). A plan from Skyplanr is never a permission, a clearance or a guarantee. Check the plan, the official airspace map and the conditions on site before you take off.
Planning with AI
Skyplanr writes plans with an AI model and checks every plan with its own validator before you see it. Plans can still contain mistakes. Read the plan and the warnings before you fly it.
Your account
Give a correct email address and keep your password to yourself. One account is for one person. In a team, the team's admins decide who has access to its missions.
Fair use
Don't use Skyplanr to plan flights that break the law, to watch or map people without a lawful reason, or to overload, scrape or get around the limits of the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content
Your missions, briefs, files and flight logs are yours. You let us store and process them to run the service for you, including sending a mission's brief and map context to our AI provider to plan it.
Map and weather data
Map, height and weather data come from Kartverket, OpenStreetMap contributors, MET Norway, Mapbox and others, under their own terms and licences, shown in the app where the data is used.
Plans, credits and payment
Paid plans and credits are sold by Apperio AS, org.nr. 930 990 337 MVA, Fjerdingen 17, 3050 Mjøndalen, Norway. Free includes 3 AI plans a month, Pilot 10, and Team 10 per seat shared by the organisation; an AI plan is a mission Skyplanr plans for you. Asking for changes to a plan and template replays don't count, and a run that fails before a plan is ready is given back. The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC) and unused AI plans don't carry over.
Credits are prepaid AI plans bought in packs. They are used after the month's allowance, belong to the account or organisation that bought them, and never expire. Unused credits from a payment that is refunded or disputed are removed.
Prices are shown on the pricing page in euros, or Norwegian kroner, and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Subscriptions renew each month or year until cancelled; change or cancel them at any time in the billing portal. Changes are prorated, and a cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Team can be paid by invoice, due in 14 days. Stripe processes all payments; we never see or store card numbers.
Changes and availability
We improve the service all the time and may change or remove features. We tell you by email before changes to these terms that affect you. The service is provided as it is, without a promise that it is always available or free of errors.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage from flights or from decisions based on the service, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer by law.
Ending
You can stop using Skyplanr at any time and delete your account in the iPhone app (Settings) or by writing to hello@skyplanr.com. We delete your data as described in the privacy notice.
Law
Norwegian law applies, without taking away the protection the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
